Gary Lowe uses RP-Xâ„¢ and Bluestuff pads in his BMW 335i race car

Racing driver, Gary Lowe, is competing in the 2026 season of the 750MC Armed Forces Challenge in his freshly-built E92 BMW 335i.

Lowe has opted to use ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s RP-Xâ„¢ motorsport brake pads for the front axle, as well as ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’ Bluestuff NDX pads (rear) and GD discs (all-round).

Following podium finishes in his debutant outing in the car at Silverstone recently, we next caught up with Lowe fresh off the back of Snetterton 300 round of the championship, where he walked away from the weekend’s gruelling 45-minute endurance race with a class win, despite some technical setbacks mid-race.

You can read how it all panned out below in Gary’s own words below…

“Round 3 of the Armed Forces Race Challenge brought a different format, with a single 45-minute race featuring a mandatory pit stop.

“Having never driven the circuit outside of the simulator, qualifying was always going to be a learning experience. Unfortunately, the session was heavily disrupted by incidents, resulting in multiple yellow flags and a red flag, limiting us to just two genuine flying laps. Despite this, we secured P6 overall and P1 in class with a 2:19 lap time. Both the car and I had more pace to find, but given the circumstances, it was a solid result.”

“The race got off to a great start. A strong launch allowed us to move from P6 to P4, passing two cars before Turn 1 before making another move on the guest Caterham to take P3 heading into the second hairpin.

“We settled comfortably into third place and were showing strong race pace before technical issues began to emerge. A low coolant warning appeared, with temperatures gradually increasing. Initially, this reduced engine boost, causing us to lose ground, before eventually removing boost entirely.

“From that point, the focus shifted from fighting for positions to managing the car and ensuring we reached the chequered flag without causing further damage. While several other Class B competitors also encountered issues and retired, allowing us to finish P1 in class, it was disappointing to lose what had been shaping up to be a very competitive result.”

“The positive takeaway is that the car clearly has the pace to run at the front, and the root cause of the issue has now been identified. We can address it, move forward, and come back stronger for the next round.

“Another major positive from the weekend was the performance of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ braking package. The combination of the RP-Xâ„¢ front pads, Bluestuff rear pads and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ discs performed flawlessly throughout the event. Even under repeated heavy braking for the duration of the 45-min race, there was no sign of fade, and pedal feel remained consistent from start to finish. That level of confidence allowed me to progressively push my braking points later as the day went on, knowing the brakes would deliver the same performance lap after lap, the T51 Racing bespoke brake cooling kit also played it part and helped to keep the whole system temps down throughout.”

“A huge thank-you to everyone who came along to support, help prepare the car, and make the weekend possible. There were a few challenges leading up to the event, and at times it looked like we might not make the grid, but thanks to the efforts of those around me, we got there.

“Finally, a massive thank you to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ, Karlyone Care Ltd, and the Army Sports Car Racing team for their continued support throughout the season. Your backing is greatly appreciated, and we’re looking forward to coming back fighting at Brands Hatch in August.â€

Autoworks Motorsport is competing in the Iberian Supercars Endurance Series

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Frenos (Spain)-supported Autoworks Motorsport race team has achieved much success in recent years, piloting ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ-equipped race cars in the Iberian Supercars Endurance Series.

Since the second half of 2025, the outfit has been elevated to the GT4 Bronze class thanks to the acquisition of a G82 BMW M4 GT4 – complete in the long-standing ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing livery.

This car has been sporting ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s SR-21â„¢ sintered endurance race pads, giving the team the edge when it comes to stopping power.

We most recently caught up with Autoworks Motorsport off the back of their debutant race for 2026 at the famous Portimão Circuit, where great promise was shown across the weekend despite many setbacks.

Read how it all panned out in their own words below…

“Autoworks Motorsport closes the first round of the Iberian Supercars at the Algarve International Circuit with a bittersweet taste. The weekend demonstrated the excellent technical level of the Madrid structure and the incredibly fast race pace of its driver duo, but the final results were overshadowed by the harshness on track.

“The weekend began with very positive feelings in the qualifying sessions, where the tremendous equality and great form of the drivers from the Madrid structure were evident.”

“Héctor Hernández and Borja Hormigos drove to the limit, stopping the clock with a minimal difference of just one tenth of a second in favour of Héctor. This consistency in times demonstrated the rapid adaptation of both to the latest evolution of the BMW M4 GT4 (G82) and gave the team excellent starting positions for the official races. In the first race of the weekend, the team started from fourth position in the GT4 Bronze category, while in the second race they managed to secure a stellar second position.

“However, luck did not accompany them in both races when they were running in podium positions. In the first race, a heavy hit delivered by the same rival relegated the team to fifth final position, a result that did not do justice to the real pace on track. The story repeated itself almost identically in the second leg. A new impact by the same opponent left the vehicle severely damaged, forcing a retirement and depriving the car of crossing the finish line.”

“Despite the double material blow, the balance of the structure is positive professionally. The pure performance of the car, the race pace, and the flawless work of the young technical specialists and technological partners (ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ racing and ELF Lubricants) proved that the project has plenty of speed to fight for the GT4 Bronze championship.”

“Qualifying showed that Borja and I are running the same times and that the car is fast,” says Héctor Hernández. “The race pace was spectacular and that is the positive takeaway. We know we have the speed and that the team worked at two hundred percent, but it is a shame that external factors leave us without the points we deserved.”

“It makes us very angry to finish like this because starting second in race two, the podium was within our reach,” declares Borja Hormigos. “In the second leg, the hit forced us to retire. Now it is time to change the mindset immediately; we had to experience the bitter side of racing and now we have to pull together to leave the car perfect.”

“The logistics team is already on its way back to the Autoworks Motorsport facilities. The technical staff will focus all their efforts starting today on evaluating the structural damage and proceeding with the urgent repair of the BMW M4 GT4, with the aim of arriving in full condition for the most important event of the year in front of their fans.

“The second round of the Supercars Endurance season will be held at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE. The event will score points solely for the Spanish Supercars Championship and promises to bring together a high-level grid once again on a circuit with a unique history in Iberian motorsport.”

Bobby Varey is competing in BSB’s ROKiT OFF BMW F 900 R Cup

Preston-based Bobby Varey is currently competing in BSB’s ROKiT OFF BMW F 900 R Cup, entrusting ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s GPFAX motorsport brake pads on his German race bike.

The latest round of the season to the one-make series to Derbyshire’s Donington Park, where a promising start ended in a dramatic off for Varey during Sunday’s racing action.

Read how it panned out in his own words…

“Friday started off strong with a P4 finish in Free Practice 1, followed by an even better result in Free Practice 2 where we secured Pole Position. Qualifying wrapped up the day with a P2 finish, just 0.07 seconds behind Nikki Coates, which placed us into Heat 2.”

“Saturday’s Heat Race 2 was a good race from start to finish coming out on Pole giving us confidence heading into Sunday’s main race. Drawing out the top 6 from each heat placing me 2nd on the grid for Sundays race.”

“Unfortunately, Sunday didn’t go as planned. During the warm up lap Scott Carson crashed at the bottom of Craner Curves directly in front of me, and despite my best efforts to avoid the incident, I sadly collided with him. This meant we were unfortunately unable to continue with the race.”

“A disappointing way to end the weekend after such a positive start, but we’ll regroup, rebuild, and come back stronger for the next round. Thank you to everyone for the continued support — it means a lot.

“Wishing Scott Carson a speedy recovery.”

Gary Lowe uses RP-Xâ„¢ and Bluestuff pads in his BMW 335i race car

Racing driver, Gary Lowe, has entered his first competitive race in his freshly-built E92 BMW 335i in the 750MC Armed Forces Challenge round at Silverstone recently.

The race follows a very promising shakedown session earlier in the year at Donington Park.

Lowe has opted for ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s RP-Xâ„¢ motorsport brake pads for the front axle, as well as ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’ Bluestuff NDX pads (rear) and GD discs (all-round).

You can read how it all panned out below in Gary’s own words below…

“This weekend, we attended Rounds 1 and 2 of the Armed Forces Race Challenge at Silverstone National Circuit.

“Making the results even more special, this marked the very first race weekend for the car and myself, making it a huge milestone after 18 months of work preparing the car myself to get it race ready.”

“The weekend proved challenging from the outset, with intermittent boost issues that unfortunately remained unresolved throughout both races. Despite the setbacks, we kept pushing and were able to bring the car home in both races, securing a strong P3 in class during Race 1 and improving to P2 in class in Race 2.

“A huge positive from the weekend was the performance of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ package. The RP-Xâ„¢ pads paired with the Bluestuff pads and discs performed flawlessly throughout the weekend, delivering consistent stopping power with zero brake fade and remaining sharp and reliable across both races.”

“Massive thanks to the Army Sports Car Racing Team, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ, and KARLYONE CARE LTD for all of their continued support throughout the weekend. Your backing makes it possible for us to keep pushing forward, even during difficult race weekends.

“We’ll regroup, resolve the boost issues, and come back stronger for the next round at Snetterton 300 on the 20th of June.â€

Gary Lowe piloted his BMW 335i around Donington Park for the first time, with promising results

Racing driver, Gary Lowe, enjoyed a pre-season shakedown in his E92 BMW 335i at Derbyshire’s Donington Park recently, ahead of the vehicle’s debut season in the 750MC Armed Forces Challenge.

Lowe has opted for ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s RP-Xâ„¢ motorsport brake pads for the front axle, as well as ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’ Bluestuff NDX pads (rear) and GD discs (all-round).

You can read how it all panned out below in Gary’s own words…

“A really positive and productive shakedown at Donington Park’s National Circuit for the car’s first outing, with lots of positive feedback from coaches and passengers that came out in the car.

“The car performed exceptionally well straight out of the box for its first outing, with only a couple of small niggles that were quickly identified and are easily resolved ahead of the next outing. Overall, balance and confidence in the car is very high, and it’s clear we’ve got a strong platform to build on.”

“Grip levels were outstanding throughout the day, allowing us to push harder with each session and really start to explore the car’s potential.

“A big highlight was the braking performance. The new ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ setup, running a combination of RP-Xâ„¢ and Bluestuff pads, was absolutely faultless. Consistent, confidence-inspiring, and strong under all conditions, I am yet to actually reach the limit of the brake setup; they performed perfectly all day and are a massive step forward for the car, I am currently adding a brake cooling setup to help keep performance at its optimal level for the races.

“I am now tweaking the couple of bits that needed attention and giving the car a once over ready for the first race of the season at Silverstone in May.”

The 750 Motor Club Armed Forces Race Challenge (AFRC) was developed to bring together four-wheeled motor racers from all across the Armed Forces. The challenge allows a level playing field of competition irrespective of car performance by rewarding consistency during races, so the focus remains on the driver rather than the machinery. Both F80 BMW M3s benefited from ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing components in this popular video

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing components were the product of choice for both BMW M3s featured in ’s latest ‘Build-Off’ YouTube video.

The video – which has garnered over 350,000 views in less than a week – showcases two F80 variants of the popular sports saloon which both receive mammoth transformations to their respective owners’ tastes.

Alongside countless other modifications elsewhere, the first car utilises ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s acclaimed two-piece fully floating rotor upgrade and Redstuff brake pads all-round – a great choice for improved performance while retaining low brake dusts to protect the stunning aftermarket alloy wheels that were also installed at the same time.

The second car went even further, combining the above components with six-piston Apollo brake calipers for even more stopping power. Finished in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’s Luminous Yellow colour scheme, they look fantastic on the finished car when combined with its striking pink PPF body wrap.

Throtl is a premium retailer for performance car and truck parts online – serving the entire United States. Needless to say, the firm can supply the entire ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ catalogue, which caters for a vast variety of applications.

Andy Howard, aka ‘Drift Across the World’, is aiming to drive his BMW from Australia to Ireland

Irish drifter, Andy Howard, is currently completing his epic ‘Drift Across the World’ journey across the globe.

Towards the end of 2025, Howard shipped his BMW 330i Touring over to Australia, with the aim of driving the car back to his homeland of Ireland whilst raising money for the Make-a-Wish foundation in the process.

He’s relying on ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ components for the stopping power on his trusty steed, as he drives, drifts and lives in the car over this huge journey. He’s running Bluestuff pads, USR discs and braided brake lines – a strong and reliable setup that should help him navigate the hugely varying and demanding terrain that lays ahead of him.

We caught up with Andy recently as he’d left Australia and entered Southeast Asia, with spirits high as he navigated his way through Malaysia and Thailand. You can read his update below…

“Wanted to send a quick update on the Drift Across the World project.

“The Australian leg is complete and I am currently in Malaysia, about to cross the border into Thailand. Which is crazy to think I am in Southeast Asia!

“The project has also generated over 200,000 followers and 20 million views on social media and continues to grow, while raising over $4,000 for much needed funds for Make-A-Wish International.”

“I’ve helped organise what will be one of the biggest car events in Malaysia called ‘Penang Autoshow’, happening on the 1–3 May. This will also raise funds for Make-a-wish Malaysia.

“Your support means a lot!â€

Following multiple successful track days around the UK with his Apollo big brake kit-adorned Civic Type R, we recently caught up with Sam Preston once again following a mammoth trip to the Nürburgring and Spa in his heavily modified vehicle.

Sam was previously running Yellowstuff pads on his four-piston setup, as the car was still being used on the road occasionally, but he’s now enhanced his Honda further so it’s predominantly a track day machine.

Because of this, he swapped out to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s RP-Xâ„¢ track/motorsport brake pads once he arrived at each of these European track days – noting how the improved bite helped match the other recent upgrades he’s performed to his car.

Replace your costly Original discs with these new ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ one piece units – direct fit, superb performance and half the price – USR sport versions also available

SWAP THIS:

WITH THIS:

We have never really understood the logic of a two piece disc that does nothing but save a few ounces, about equivalent to having your screen washer bottle full or half full. OE alloy hub discs do not offer any floating benefits, as they utilise solid riveted construction and we only see these small weight savings. That’s our opinion anyway.

Therefore, why not just use the new ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ premium G3000 cast iron units, which are R90 approved and available in either plain or USR fine slotted versions for better venting, which are also even lighter.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Drifter Sets Off on Globetrotting Adventure

Irish drifter, Andy Howard, has begun his epic ‘Drift Across the World’ journey across the globe. Howard shipped his BMW 330i Touring over to Australia, with the aim of driving the car back to his homeland of Ireland whilst raising money for the Make-a-Wish foundation in the process.

Howard is relying on ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ components for the stopping power on his trusty steed, as he drives, drifts and lives in the car over the huge journey ahead of him. He’s running Bluestuff pads, USR discs and braided brake lines – a strong and reliable setup that should help him navigate the hugely varying and demanding terrain that lays ahead of him.

SPONSORED RIDER/DRIVER UPDATE

Natalie Kane has been racing motocross around Europe for many years, recently taking a break due to pregnancy. She recently returned to compete in the Women’s Swedish Championship for 2025, with her first round taking place just nine weeks after giving birth. We caught up with Kane the final round of 2025, which took place at Vimmerby Motorsällskap. Despite some setbacks, she clinched 7th on the day, leaving her 6th overall in the championship standings for the year.

Dave Barrett is competing in the 2025 Modified Ford Series, piloting his upgraded Mk4 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Zetec within the Class C category. We caught up with Barrett towards the end of the season, following his round at Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park, where he achieved more class podiums to cement his impressive standings for the year.

Motorcycle race outfit, Brook Built Racing, has been competing in the No Limits Racing (NLR) SuperTwins and Oliver’s Mount championships throughout 2025. The latest update comes after Russell Brook and Ben Long attended the final Oliver’s Mount race of the season – the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup, where they took home more strong results.

Pro drifter, Stuart Egdell, continues his partnership with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ as he once again carries out another season of the Drift France championship. Following more success at the previous round in Calmont, we caught up with Egdell as he undertook the final round of 2026 at the all-new Circuit de Charade in Auvergne, where some great driving saw him take a Top 20 overall for the season.

For many years, the Clubracer outfit – made up of drivers Henry Wright and Kevin Glover – piloted their Ford Fiesta in Class D of the Trackday Championship, securing multiple podium finishes and season wins along the way. Throughout this time, the duo relied on ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s motorsport brake pads to help them achieve such impressive results. Following an incredible outright win at Donington Park, we next caught up with the team following their Oulton Park and Cadwell Park rounds in the second half of the year, where more consistent, solid driving ensured the trophies continued to come in.

Martyn Henry is competing in the Pro class of Time Attack UK, in his heavily modified Vauxhall Astra VXR. Following a podium finish at Snetterton, Henry next found himself at the gruelling Knockhill Circuit in Scotland, where mixed weather and a few other issues made for a testing weekend, with good results achieved despite this.

Kart racer Marcus Hudson is campaigning in the Super 4 British Championship for the 2025 season. Following more solid driving at Fulbeck recently, Hudson soon found himself at the final round of 2025, set at Hunts Kart Racing Club, where he finished the season in P8.

Nicole Drought has been competing in the MSVT Trackday Championship for 2025, continuing to run ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ components in her Civic Type R. We caught up with Drought following the penultimate round at Croft Circuit, where she currently sits 5th overall and 4th in class. As she is unable to compete in the final race at Brands Hatch (with ex-teammate Justin Roberts taking the hot seat for this race instead), the team took this opportunity to reflect on the hugely successful year they’ve had so far.

Retford-based Scott Stone is competing in No Limits Racing’s Premier 1000cc Championship in 2025 on his Yamaha R1, achieving class podiums throughout the year. With further class podiums and PBs achieved at the previous round at Oulton Park, Stone was back out for the final round at Derbyshire’s Donington Park recently. Luck wasn’t on his side for the weekend, but he managed to clinch second in the Premier 1000cc class for 2025.

Wiltshire-based motorcycle racer, Max Symonds has been competing in another season in the British Superbike Championship’s National Superstock category.  With great results achieved at the most recent Cadwell Park round of BSB, Max took a break from the series to return to his home circuit of Castle Combe for a very special one-off race weekend. Here, he was pleased to once again secure ‘King of Combe’ status after some fantastic riding across the two days.

Portugal-based Fabio Ferrinho has recently been competing in the Mogadouro Drag Race series in his modified 270+bhp SEAT Ibiza Bocanegra. More recently, he’s decided to take his versatile and capable steed on some track days, which has put even more strain on his car’s braking system. Because of this, he decided to upgrade to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Racing’s RP-Xâ„¢ track/race brake pads ahead of a demanding track day on the vast Portimão Circuit – an upgrade which provided great results.

The Dean Hipwell-owned Whitecliffe CDH Racing Team has been competing in the Bennetts British Superbikes Championship for the 2025 season, with both Luke Hedger and Jamie Davies piloting Honda CBR1000RR-R machines. After a successful round at Brands Hatch, we next caught up with the team at Cheshire’s Oulton Park, where treacherous weather conditions didn’t dampen the spirits of the two riders.

The NW Racing team has once again been competing in the British Motorcycle Racing Cup (Bemsee) Formula 400 series for the 2025 season, where the team continued to campaign with Luca Wilkinson, as well as introducing Zack Weston to the pack. Following an incredibly successful season, we caught up with NW Racing at the final round at Derbyshire’s Donington Park, where solid points across the board ensured that Wilkinson comfortably walked away with gold for the overall 2025 season.

Dubai-based off-road motorcycle racer, Alex McInnes, has had another busy year competing in various desert-based off-road races across the Middle East. We caught up with McInnes after five weeks competing in five different championships back-to-back, with impressive rides seen each step of the way.

Jeremy Evans and Phil Hart are the drivers of the Tunbridge Wells-based Semprini Racing outfit – a team that is currently campaigning a K24-engined EP3 Honda Civic Type R across both the MSV Trackday Trophy and BRSCC Supersport Endurance Championship race series in the UK. We caught up with the team as they enter their final rounds of 2025 – which proved to be a great success as they climbed 25 places to finish P5.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ-equipped True Heroes Racing is a motorcycle racing outfit supporting riders in various race series across the UK. Priding itself on being the UK’s first and only not-for-profit motorcycle race team dedicated to supporting wounded, injured and sick UK Armed Forces personnel and veterans, the team helps to engage, empower and inspire.

Arizona-based Austin Phipps of the Mulletsport race team is a professional drifter, currently using a modified 2012 Audi S4 with manual transmission and rear-wheel drive conversion in various drift series across the USA. Ahead of the mighty FuelFest 2025 event, Phipps decided to finally get to the bottom of the engine issues that had been haunting him throughout the year by replacing the entire powerplant with a boosted LS V8 motor.

For the 2025 season, Rob Lewis once again competed in the Modified Ford Series in his Mk1 Ford Focus ST170. After catching up with Lewis after the first few rounds of the year, where car and driver had both been performing well and secured some class podiums, we next caught up with Rob after the final rounds of the season at Cadwell Park and Brands Hatch, where more podiums were clinched.
